Portland, Ore. (Aug. 24, 2020) – Succession Resource Group (SRG) is proud to announce the achievement of Kristen Grau, SRG’s Executive Vice President, as one of the 2020 40 Under Forty honorees by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
In 2017, Kristen Grau earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the NACVA after years of experience working with small businesses as a CPA and in her current role as a valuation expert at SRG. Grau leads SRG’s valuation team as well as advisor listings division, working to ensure SRG’s valuations are leveraging real-time deal data.
Using her knowledge of the advisor market and familiarity with the needs of small businesses, Grau worked to create the most accurate and detailed valuation programs in the industry, while also ensuring the strategy remains a cost-effective solution for advisors to leverage annually.
Grau shared, “There are a lot of folks that will offer advisors an opinion of value, but most are either oversimplified and unreliable, or so complex and expensive that only the top 1% of firms would ever use it. I am committed to improving our process and strategy while keeping the cost accessible because we know how important it is to understand the value of one’s business.”
Joining the company in 2012, Grau has been the company’s Valuations Director since 2014 and also runs SRG’s listings division, which has quickly become known for the outstanding deals they achieve for their sellers. Prior to joining SRG, she was an accountant at Moss Adams and Delap CPA, where she primarily focused on small business owners/individual tax returns and pass-through entities.
