Deal Support Overview

An independent advisory review to ensure your deal holds beyond the closing date.

Structure Under Pressure

SRG’s Deal Support service is designed for buyers and sellers who have aligned on a transaction framework and need independent, disciplined advisory oversight to ensure the deal holds together through documentation and close. Even well-structured deals can overlook critical details — assumptions go untested, financial mechanics go unevaluated, and terms that seemed clear at the offer stage can create complications by the time paperwork is finalized. SRG evaluates financial mechanics, pressure-tests structural assumptions, and ensures documentation reflects what was actually agreed. The service overview below is an interactive document outlining scope, timeline, pricing, and the team leading your engagement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our deal support services are designed to help a buyer and a seller complete a deal and make informed decisions, provide customized solutions, and tailored contracts to get the deal done. We offer a range of solutions, from the DIY solution (Starter) where we’ll provide you the agreements you need for your deal, to the Elite solution where our team will guide you every step of the way.
Our deal support is for a buyer and a seller committed to completing the transactions with one another. Some clients have already agreed upon a few of the deal terms, others are just getting started. If you have everything already figured out and just need the agreements, our Starter or Premium solution is perfect. If you need/want more guidance, our team is here to help with our Elite solution.
We strongly encourage that the buyer and the seller each engage in the deal support service together, as we usually work together as a team to complete the transaction. Need just Buy-Side or Sell-Side support? We can help.
A valuation is not required to complete deal support, but may be required by a lender if you use third-party financing. Check out our sister site – LendingWell to learn more about lending requirements and find the perfect lender for your deal.
No. Our goal with deal support is to provide non-advocacy support to both buyer and seller. As a result, we request that all communication include all parties. We strive for complete transparency.

We request you complete a short questionnaire. The questionnaire received will depend on the selected service tier to ensure optimized efficiency of data gathering. This helps get the basics out of the way up front.

SRG is not a law firm. While we do have attorneys on staff that you may work with during your project, we are not acting as your counsel. However, all of our contracts have been prepared by our external counsel and are regularly reviewed by our client’s and bank’s attorneys, as well as broker-dealer and custodial counsel.

We strongly encourage all clients to work with your counsel to do a high-level review of the contracts from your perspective. Given how many times our contracts have been used and evolved, there are rarely any changes requested, but since SRG is not acting as your counsel, it is our recommendation to have a review done once the agreements are completed, but before you sign.

We know your industry and have worked on these types of projects hundreds of times. And, we have the resources and strategies to help you, saving you time and money. This is the experience we bring to each client’s project.

We strive for excellence and, as a result, we are always learning, adapting, and revising our deliverables and resources to ensure that you receive a fair, accurate, and timely solution as the industry changes.

We are neutral. We are not affiliated with a broker-dealer or custodian and can provide the advice that is best for you. We also pride ourselves on service – providing high-touch, high-quality solutions to our clients.
