David Hansen is the Director of SRG’s Elite Advisor Institute training and coaching platform, bringing years of practical ‘advisor level’ expertise to our clients. David’s prolific twenty-year career in the financial services sector included leading highly successful mergers and acquisitions and building a firm from $80 million in assets under management to almost $1 billion during his tenure as CEO leveraging success with organic growth as well as numerous acquisitions, mergers, and tuck-in recruits.
In addition to acquiring seven practices representing approximately $350 million in AUM with nearly 100% client retention, David has also facilitated the sale of several of his client’s companies, totaling in excess of $50 million dollars in value. David is an accomplished advisor and speaker, presenting his best practices for building a successful advisor enterprise for some of the largest advisor organizations in the industry.
David leads SRG’s Elite Advisor Institute, helping share his knowledge and experience with investment companies seeking to grow through acquisition and/or build greater value in their business. This encompasses a wide-variety of topics, including training and consulting our clients on deal sourcing strategies, negotiating best practices, team development, operational and financial guidance, leadership, business scalability, and establishing effective business processes.
David holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Weber State University and a Masters Degree in business administration from Utah State University. David, his wife, Tori, and their 4 children reside in Queen Creek, Arizona. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and fly-fishing.
Fun Facts: David enjoys mountaineering and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and to Mount Everest Base Camp. He is also a certified airplane and helicopter pilot. In addition, David helps support an orphanage in Haiti and regularly travels there to participate in charity work.
