Business Development Specialist

Summary of Role:

The Business Development Specialist focuses on the identification and nurturing of leads in our system, working closely with the rest of the Business Development team to assist with sales-related tasks, setting up sales calls, reaching out to current and/or prospective clients as needed, following up with marketing efforts, occasional attendance at industry conferences, scheduling and conducting sales calls, providing the necessary paperwork following sales calls, and other business development related tasks as needed to support the team. The position requires excellent organization, oral and written communication skills, as well as consistent follow-through. We are looking for a reliable and thorough individual who loves to work in a team environment. There is long-term advancement opportunity for this position as industry and company familiarity increases and the company continues its expansion.

Core Duties will Include:

Sales Based:

  • The ability to identify leads within our system, or using other industry resources, to identify and connect with decision-makers.
  • Development of existing and new referral partner relationships.
  • Make outbound calls and answer inbound potential client calls based on current deals/opportunities in progress, using leads from our marketing activities, as well as generating and self-sourcing potential leads using industry data (available databases, leads related to current events) and the company’s CRM system.
  • Communicate with prospective clients via telephone, email, direct mail, and social media.
  • Create, monitor, and complete client “deals” in the CRM system.
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects in CRM.
  • Share SRG services, features, benefits, and fees to prospective clients.
  • Develop and monitor sales reports and dashboards to provide real-time feedback to the marketing department and company leadership.
  • Send proposals and engagement agreements to prospective clients.
  • Other sales and administrative items, as assigned

 

Conferences & Events:

  • Attend occasional conferences and events at SRG booth, as needed
  • Travel may be necessary for conferences & events.

Requirements:

  • Experience selling in a B2B environment;
  • Speak proficient English;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent listening and note-taking skills;
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize effectively;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills;
  • Experience with HubSpot or other similar CRM systems;
  • Dedicated team player looking to establish a long-lasting career;
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of experience in a related field; or, alternatively, high school diploma plus 5 years of experience in a related field;

Employment: Full-time; Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)

Pay Range: Salary $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year + Bonus (bonus up to 10% of base salary)
