It is that simple.
Succession Resource Group is a boutique succession consulting firm based in the Pacific Northwest, serving clients across the country. SRG was founded by David Grau Jr., MBA in 2012 after nearly a decade of helping advisors with valuation and succession planning. SRG's team of experts leverage their industry expertise, combined with best-in-class resources, to help advisors, agents, and accountants manage the equity in their businesses...
Our comprehensive appraisals leverage years of experience and knowledge of the financial services market, combined with a proprietary and robust database of actual comparable sales data, to provide larger firms with a complete and accurate picture of the fair market value of their business. We then supplement this market-based approach with traditional asset-based and income-based appraisal methods.
Our robust database of actual comparable sales data is a valuable tool for market-based analysis. Combined with traditional appraisal methods, we are able to provide advisors with a comprehensive view and understanding of the full value of their business.
Larger advisory firms undergoing appraisals often have multiple owners and multiple service offerings operating under multiple entities. With decades of experience, we are able to fully understand the value of your firm & provide you with the most accurate appraisal possible.
Our Appraisal provides you with the three most common valuation approaches for advisors — the Asset, Market and Income Approach — and then weighs theses approaches based on a variety of factors unique to each client and situation.
Our Appraisal service includes:
We guarantee the appraisal within 60 calendar days following receipt of complete information.
If you need the appraisal sooner, we do have expedited options.
An appraisal is a certified valuation report using one or more approaches, such as the asset-based approach, income-based approach, or the market-based approach to identify the value of your business.
Appraisals are best for larger firms (greater than $1b in AUM), firms with multiple owners (3 or more), or firms with multiple service offerings under multiple entities (e.g. advisory firm, CPA practice, OSJ). An appraisal may also be most suitable for purposes of a divorce, partnership dispute and, formal estate planning purposes.
We strongly encourage that the subject practice engage in the valuation.
You will receive intake call(s), a certified valuation report either oral or hardcopy, and a debrief call. All calls are completed by an experienced SRG expert certified in valuations.
We request you complete a valuation questionnaire , five-years of financials (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet), organizational documents, etc. The questionnaire has 9 sections to complete: General Information, Company Information, Technologies, Owner, Personnel, Expenses, Revenue, Client Information, and Client Communication. Additional information may be requested.
We have relationships with many of the broker-dealers. We may be able to provide you guidance on specific reports that will help get you the information you need. Or, during the intake call, we may be able to provide alternative solutions to gathering the data or figuring out the appropriate inputs to use.
In general, business owners should complete a valuation annually. However, you may want to receive a valuation more or less frequently depending on your situation.
SRG is the best at what we do.
