Employment Agreements
Formal Employment Agreements with every staff member will ensure that each party clearly understands their rights and responsibilities as a result of the employment relationship.
The agreements will also ensure that all essential items of the employment relationship are captured in writing so misunderstandings can be avoided or resolved prior to commencing the relationship and give everyone something to go back to in the event of a conflict or someone misremembering what was originally agreed to.

Our Employment Agreements service is designed to provide you with industry-tested and personalized solutions for establishing a core set of documents and procedures that ensure consistency and ease of ongoing human capital management.
This service is ideal for growing firms with key client-facing employees or contractors, where the owner is ready to add structure and formality to protect the business, both now and in the long term.
The business owner and/or key operations management staff should engage in the Employment Agreements service.
We discourage you from including general staff members on these calls, at least initially. It is common to include key operations management staff; however, it is still discretionary.
We request you complete a questionnaire and provide any/all relevant documentation on your current employment/contractor relationship and previously established commitments.
We are happy to include language in the employment agreements referencing your current equity sharing strategy(s). However, if you need to create an equity sharing plan from scratch for your employees, this would fall under our Equity Sharing Plan service.
Reviewing your team’s agreements annually is considered best practice, though timing can vary based on your resources and preferences as an employer. We recommend incorporating our annual compensation and staffing research service into your broader yearly review process to stay aligned with industry standards.
